Veteran showbiz columnist and talent manager Ogie Diaz has expressed openness to talk with his former talent, Liza Soberano, should the actress initiate the dialogue.

In his latest vlog, Ogie looked back on his time as Liza’s manager during the early years of her career and shared how grateful he remains for the opportunity to have worked with her.
Ogie managed Liza before she transferred to Careless, the record label previously handled by actor James Reid.
The actress has since moved on from the label and is now under a different management agency.

In his vlog, Ogie said he already knew the personal stories Liza revealed in her recent video, including her struggles and painful past. However, he explained that he chose not to discuss them while managing her career as they focused on building her image in show business.
“Alam talaga namin yun pero hindi para idiscuss namin habang ineestablish namin ang kanyang career kasi hindi siya makakatulong,” he explained.
The columnist further emphasized that he has done his part as Liza’s manager and remains thankful for the partnership they shared, as it also contributed positively to his own life.
“Alam naman ni Liza yung totoo–– we’ve done our part bilang manager niya together with Star Magic. Ngayon, kung kulang pa yun, narrative na ni Liza yun kung ano gusto niyang sabihin. Basta ako, pinagpapasalamat ko pa rin na dumating si Liza sa buhay ko at malaki rin naman ang naitulong \[at] naiambag sa buhay ko ni Liza at hindi ko yun kinakalimutan,” Ogie expressed.
Ogie Diaz is a Filipino comedian, actor, entertainment reporter, talent manager, and vlogger His journey began in the late 1980s as an assistant to veteran columnist Cristy Fermin at Mariposa Publications, where he carried her belongings and learned the ropes of showbiz writing—even earning just ₱20 a day in his early years. From this humble start, he transitioned into a full-time entertainment writer in the early 1990s.
