Janine Tugonon took to Instagram to respond to a netizen's question about her daughter's skin condition. Earlier, a follower asked, "Hi, Miss Janine! How did you manage your babies' eczema po?" prompting Janine to share an update on how her daughter, Baby Madeleine, has been faring.

According to Janine, Madeleine's eczema still "comes and goes" but has recently worsened again. She admitted feeling uneasy about using the treatment prescribed by the dermatologist, though she acknowledged its effectiveness and necessity for an upcoming trip, especially on a flight.

"It still comes and goes. Recently getting worse ulit, but Betamethasone prescribed by derma (and only this so far) really does the trick which I kinda don't like because it's steroids, but since we are flying long-haul soon, I just want her comfortable and remove this eczema instead of getting headache sa plane when she's irritated," she shared and revealed in her Instagram story.

She went on to say that other creams they've tried were mostly for maintenance and hydration. "The rest of the creams that we tried were just maintenance and to keep her hydrated (tried a lot, currently on some baume from Australia)," she also told the netizen who asked the question.

This isn't the first time Janine has spoken about her daughter's eczema. Back in March, she also posted about it online, expressing hopes that Madeleine would eventually outgrow the condition.

Janine Tugonon is a Filipino beauty queen and model who gained national recognition after winning the title of Miss Universe Philippines 2012. She first competed in Binibining Pilipinas in 2011, finishing as first runner-up. She returned the following year, won the crown, and went on to represent the Philippines in the Miss Universe 2012 pageant held in Las Vegas, Nevada. There, she finished as first runner-up, marking the country's highest placement at the competition since 1999 at the time.
