In his touching caption, Elvis recalled the heartbreaking moment of Alexa's final breath. "One year ago today, I saw my love, my best friend, my wife take the last breath of her life while I was holding her hand. It will forever be the most painful feeling I will ever endure," he wrote in his now-viral post. In 2024, Alexa passed away after bravely battling acute lymphoblastic leukemia, a journey that Elvis said made their bond even deeper despite the pain they both endured.
