Her arrival signals a fresh dynamic within the renowned “Bahay ni Kuya,” following the emotional departure of previous guest Heart Evangelista.
Upon her entry, Barbie was immediately tasked by Big Brother, affectionately known as Kuya, to orchestrate a surprise fun run for a charitable cause among the resident housemates.
This assignment aligns directly with the actress's recent embrace of a healthier, more active lifestyle.
In a candid conversation with Kuya prior to meeting the housemates, the Kapuso actress revealed her newfound passion for running, which began earlier this year.
“Nahilig po akong tumakbo since the beginning of this year po, dahil I'm in my self-love era,” Barbie explained, shedding light on her personal journey.
She added that running offered her a sense of control outside the demanding nature of her professional commitments. “Minahal ko po siya (pagtakbo) because it's something I discovered about myself--na kaya ko pala tumakbo. Kasi Kuya, galing ako sa taong tambay lang sa bahay, walang ginagawa. Tapos ngayon nakakapag-fun run na ako, nakakapag-long distance run na ako.”
The Kapuso actress further elaborated on the philanthropic aspect of her running endeavors, emphasizing how it integrates personal well-being with community impact. “Tapos 'yung ginagawa kong fun run, Kuya, ay for a good cause pa. I joined charity fun runs, it's a fundraising event na nakakatulong ka na sa health mo, tapos nakakatulong ka pa sa organizations para makalikom sila ng enough na amount para sa ikabubuti ng kanilang foundation.”
This commitment to using her platform for good resonated with the spirit of the “Celebrity Collab Edition,” which often features stars engaging in tasks that go beyond mere entertainment.
The role of a celebrity house guest in “Pinoy Big Brother” is designed to inject new energy, introduce specific challenges, and provide a fresh perspective to the long-running social experiment.
Forteza’s entry, characterized by her vibrant energy and a task focused on fitness and charity, offers a distinct contrast to the more introspective and emotional farewell of her predecessor, Heart Evangelista.
Her presence is expected to galvanize the housemates, pushing them physically and perhaps inspiring them to reflect on their own wellness journeys.
As the “Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition” continues to captivate audiences, Barbie Forteza’s purposeful mission within the house is set to offer viewers a unique blend of personal transformation, celebrity interaction, and a reminder of the power of collective action for a good cause.
The show airs at 10 p.m. on weeknights and 6:15 p.m. on weekends across various platforms, including GMA, Kapuso Stream, GMANetwork.com, GMA Pinoy TV, Kapamilya Online Live, iWantTFC, and TFC.
Barbie Forteza is a Kapuso actress known for her excellent performances in the series Nita Negrita, The Half Sisters, That's My Amboy, Inday Will Always Love You, Maria Clara at Ibarra, Pulang Araw, and many others. She entered showbiz in 2009, and her first project was to play the role of young Jodi in the local adaptation of the popular Korean drama Stairway to Heaven.
In a recent 24 Oras interview, Barbie shared that she is open to love even after her breakup with Jak Roberto. She joked that only “ghosts” are showing interest in her for now. She and Jak were together for seven years before announcing their split in January 2025. Despite the breakup, Barbie is focusing on her career and remains positive about future relationships.
In a Rappler interview last month, Barbie paid tribute to Nora Aunor in a Rappler interview, recalling their time together in the 2016 film Tuos. She shared that Nora taught her to always greet everyone on set, from the highest to the lowest position. The Kapuso star said Nora cooked the best Bicol Express she has ever tasted. Furthermore, Barbie described Nora as a down-to-earth person admired by everyone who worked with her.
