Luis Manzano on the aftermath of the elections: "Hindi ako nakatulog masyado ng isang gabi"

Luis Manzano, in his latest vlog post on YouTube, candidly discussed his recent journey when he ran for Vice Governor of Batangas alongside his mother, Vilma Santos, who won as governor.

In the video, the Kapamilya actor and TV host was directly asked about the election results and how he personally handled them, one which Luis openly talked about with his viewers online.

According to Luis, his sleep was affected for one night, clarifying that it wasn't due to his loss.

"Hindi lang ako nakatulog masyado ng isang gabi. Ganun talaga ang mundo, hindi lang sa politika. Hindi ako nakapahinga ng siguro mga a day or two. Not because 'talo' ako, not because of that, but because alam ko [kasi] ang gusto kong gawin para sa Batangas. Delayed is not denied, natutunan ko yan, nabasa ko yan," Luis shared with his viewers , displaying a positive outlook.

Halfway through their discussion, his wife, Jessy Mendiola, also joined in, extending her gratitude to the people of Batangas for their warmth and kindness throughout the campaign period as well.

"Gusto ko lang [din] magpasalamat sa mga Batangueño kasi yun mga Batangueño pa talaga ang nagsasabi na, 'It's okay, bumalik kayo' ganyan ganyan. Pero yung mga hindi taga-Batangas? Yun pa yung nagsasabi ng negative stuff sa amin," Jessy remarked, highlighting the contrast between the local support and external criticism they received from those who weren't in Batangas.

Meanwhile, Luis Manzano reacted to the message of Jessy Mendiola for him on Instagram. Taking to IG Stories, Luis reposted the message of his wife and told her that he loves her. Jessy was telling Luis that she was still so proud of him despite the latter having lost the elections. The actress also said that it is a gift to know that God's plans are always more beautiful as well.
