He emphasized that if she is truly not guilty of the allegations being raised against her, the proceedings should be welcomed rather than feared.

He also quoted a friend who questioned the motives of senators allegedly trying to suppress the trial.

“‘Ano ba takot ng mga senador na ayaw matuloy ito? Ayaw nyo bang malaman ang totoo, kaya sipsipan kayo nang sipsipan kay VP,’ sabi ng friend ko,” Ogie shared.

The remark echoed sentiments from netizens who see transparency and due process as essential to public trust.

Ogie then posed the question, “May point ba?” inviting the public to reflect on whether resisting an official legal process truly serves justice—or just protects powerful figures from scrutiny.

His statement has fueled online debate, with supporters praising his candor while critics accused him of politicizing the issue.

Regardless, Diaz’s post underscores a growing public demand for accountability, even from the highest ranks of government.
