Thankfully, Michelle later gave a positive update, calming worried fans with encouraging news about her recovery and how she has been doing after the 'freak accident,' "Day 2! It's surprisingly healing so fast! @belobeauty #BELONEXA. Chin and cheek swelling is visibly down, no signs of infection, active spots of drying cleanly, less redness, [and] healing looks more controlled."

In the comment section of her post, netizens wished Michelle a speedy recovery after the incident.

"I'm guessing it's the bunso responsible for the bite," one netizen said, while another one wrote, "Baka na-miss ka lang daw niya ng sobra, miss ma'am. Charot! But please get well soon po!"
