Arjo Atayde has been re-elected as the representative of the 1st Congressional District of Quezon City, securing a second term.

He was proclaimed as the winner of the Quezon City 1st District congressional race on Tuesday morning, May 13.

His proclamation marked a significant moment in the district’s political landscape.

According to official COMELEC tally, Arjo secured 69,951 votes, placing him ahead of his political rivals, which included Onyx Crisologo and entrepreneur Marcus Dee.

The result solidifies Arjo’s continued presence in the House of Representatives, allowing him to carry on his legislative work for the district.

Arjo’s background extends beyond his political career. He is the son of well known veteran actress Sylvia Sanchez, and he has also established himself as an acclaimed actor.

Notably, he received the prestigious Best Actor in a Leading Role award at the 3rd Asian Academy Creative Awards in 2020, showcasing his talent in the entertainment industry.

Despite his ongoing political commitments, Atayde has remained active in the entertainment sector. He is set to star in the upcoming ABS-CBN international series “Cattleya Killer,” demonstrating his continued involvement in show business.

Previously, Arjo, along with celebrities like Kathryn Bernardo, Jane Oineza, and Enchong Dee, attended the Christening of Zanjoe Marudo and Ria Atayde’s newborn baby. Zanjoe posted the momentous event on his Instagram account. Photos from the gathering showed a joyful celebration with family and friends.
