On her Instagram page, Lotlot penned a lengthy post where she reflected on her growth as a mom.
“Bilang panganay na anak, sa simula pa lang naatasan na ako to look after Ian, hanggang sa dumating sa buhay ko si Matet, Kiko at Ken.. ang laging bilin sa akin alagaan mga kapatid ko. To make sure na okay sila, attend to their needs, hindi maiwan mag isa, hindi masasaktan, protektahan,” she recalled.
“Then I became a mom. I thought at that time alam ko na mag-alaga, bilang ate nga ako but while my kids were growing up, I realized ang dami ko pa talagang hindi alam,” the actress continued.

Lotlot went on to write, “Sa totoo lang, ano ba talaga ang alam ko? My kids, oh goodness, I practically grew up with them. At lahat ng naituro ko sa kanila galing din sa naituro sa akin ng mommy ko. Ang maging magalang, masipag at maging mabait at responsableng tao.”
“That was my responsibility to make sure they grow up to be the best human beings possible. Even to my siblings.”
Furthermore, Lotlot shared her thoughts on witnessing her children mourn over the recent deaths of their grandmothers, Nora Aunor and Pilita Corrales. The celebrity mom lauded her children for being brave and strong amidst their grieving.
“These past few weeks, I saw how these babies of mine have really been all that. Losing both their Lola’s only 5 days apart was so devastating, but they stood their ground. They took everything that happened with such grace, love, humility and kindness. They were grieving too.”
“There were times I would stop and stare and then think, wow, my children, look at how brave, strong and beautiful human beings they’ve become. Always asking what I needed, made sure everything and everyone who paid their respects and family were okay. Made sure I ate and got rest in between. They would say ‘mama, sit down, ako na or kame na.’”
“They took charge, and they were my walls of strength and their love was the one I leaned on during those difficult times,” Lotlot continued, admiring her children.
“I wish it weren’t like that, losing both of the people that mattered to our family at the same time. I wish I could take away the pain that my children were feeling too. But kahit gaano kahirap at kasakit, I know they believe that this is what we call, life. And that what matters most during those heartbreaking moments is, FAMILY,” she added.
