Enchong Dee, a Kapamilya actor, recently took to X (formerly Twitter) to open up about his earlier post regarding a frightening health scare that sent him to the emergency room this month.

In a series of posts on Wednesday, April 23, he reflected on the purpose behind a previous post where he revealed that he had suffered an allergy attack, during which his "throat almost closed."

According to Enchong, his reason for sharing was to educate and raise awareness among netizens about the dangers of severe allergic reactions and how important having a health insurance is.

"When I shared my life threatening post about allergy attack, my purpose was to educate people to learn about their personal allergies para maagapan ang delikadong incident at para kumuha tayo ng health insurance para hindi masakit sa bulsa ang hospital bills," he began on his X account.

While his message resonated with many, he also noted that not all responses were positive.

On his page, he shared that some of the reactions he received were misinformed—and at times, even disrespectful, "Ang dami kong nakikitang maling impormasyon at minsan ay bastos pa."

Despite the negativity, the actor maintained his stance on the importance of spreading helpful information and urged netizens to be more thoughtful and discerning when engaging online.

"Let's be mature enough to see the goodness in spreading valuable and helpful information. Maraming pwedeng matulungan sa mga ganitong incidents. I hope we had a good reflection with the recent Holy Week break," he added in his now-viral thread on the social media website.

To underline the seriousness of the incident, Enchong concluded his thread with a photo of himself in the hospital, emphasizing the very real consequences of allergy attacks as well.

Enchong Dee is a Filipino actor, model, and swimmer. He gained fame as an actor through ABS-CBN, starring in various television dramas and films. Some of his notable projects include Katorse, Muling Buksan ang Puso, and The Greatest Love. Aside from acting, Enchong is also a competitive swimmer who represented the Philippines in various international swimming competitions.
