On Instagram Stories, the Kapuso star and former Miss Universe Philippines posted a short video showing the injuries she sustained.

"Part of being adventurous is experiencing accidents," said Rabiya, who is fond of exhilarating activities as seen in her posts about her previous trips.
"Got hit by a wakeboard. Chipped my tooth. Got some bruising and swelling on my left face," she also shared in the on-screen caption.
Furthermore, the actress and beauty queen penned an expression of relief, assuring her followers that she's fine.
"Still, life is good. Thank you, Lord!" she added.

Last year, the actress and beauty queen revealed that she fell victim to an investment scam and lost a big amount of money.
According to GTV’s “Balitanghali” report on June 26, 2024, Rabiya said that it was months ago when she found out about the fraud done to her by her business partner.
The Kapuso star and former Miss Universe Philippines titleholder unfortunately lost around P1 million. Even though it was painful to accept, Rabiya moved on after suffering the financial loss and took it as a lesson to be more vigilant in investing her money.
Rabiya Occeña Mateo is a Filipina-Indian model and is the reigning Miss Universe Philippines. The beauty queen represented the Philippines in the 69th Miss Universe pageant held on May 16, 2021, in Florida, USA. She concluded her journey in the prestigious pageant in the top 21. While she didn’t win the crown, the pageant paved the way for the beauty queen to enter the Pinoy showbiz world. Rabiya is currently a Sparkle GMA Artist Center talent.
In a previous report by KAMI, Rabiya Mateo took to Instagram Stories and clarified that she and her boyfriend, Jeric Gonzales bought tickets for IU's concert. The beauty queen said that they bought the tickets for P12,000 each, and that there was no VIP treatment. She commended the ushers though for helping them find their seats at the concert venue. The FB account, "Hyein modeling agency," who maliciously hinted that Rabiya and Jeric would like to watch for free has apologized.
Rabiya, in an earlier social media post, flexed the very first car and house that she bought. The beauty queen said her purchase of the properties was the result of her “countless prayers and hard work.” She also encouraged her followers not to be afraid to dream big. Celebrities and netizens, meanwhile, wrote their congratulatory comments and praises for her. Such celebrities include Michele Gumabao and MJ Lastimosa.
