On Wednesday, April 23, Jaya took to her Instagram page to honor the deceased OPM legend.
“I grew up listening to his music on the radio as a young kid,” Jaya recalled.
She went on to laud Hajji for his warm personality, humor, and talent.

“Met him a few times and found him to be very warm and funny. An amazing singer and performer, truly one of the icons that will be missed.”

Furthermore, Jaya, who currently resides in the US, also sent her sincere sympathy to the bereaved family.
“My deepest condolences to your family and may God comfort you in this difficult time,” the female singer earnestly wrote.
Hajji passed away at 70 after a battle with stage 4 colon cancer, leaving behind a legacy of timeless music.
Hajji's children include singer Rachel Alejandro, chef Barni, and Mojofly drummer Ali Alejandro, from different relationships.
Just last month, Hajji's partner of 27 years, Alynna Velasquez, shared that he was recuperating after being diagnosed with stage 4 colon c@ncer. She remained hopeful during an interview with Julius Babao, expressing her belief that Hajji would eventually sing again following his surgery.
