To help their kids connect with the tradition, they called it a "wish list"—something easier for them to understand. However, what Zia and Sixto wrote took their parents completely by surprise.

"What they wrote took us by surprise. No toys. No faraway places. Just the purest things: time together. More presence. Taking care of one another. Helping others," Dingdong revealed online.

Dingdong admitted that upon reading their list, it felt truly humbling and deeply moving.

"It made us pause. Because sometimes, in the middle of all the doing and chasing, you forget what's already here. And maybe that's all we need every now and then—a quiet pause, a bit of space, a moment to listen to each other and remember what really matters," he had written.
