Janine Gutierrez lost both her maternal and paternal grandmothers in just a week. National Artist Nora Aunor died on Wednesday, April 16 while the Asia’s Queen of Songs Pilita Corrales passed away last Saturday, April 12.

On Instagram, Janine shared a post confirming the passing of her mom Lotlot De Leon’s adoptive mother, Nora. The post also pays tribute to the late Superstar of Philippine Cinema.
“With sorrowful hearts, we share the passing of our grandmother, Mama Guy. A treasure to our family but truly always more the people's than ours. She had a life of giving her immeasurable love to everyone she touched whether on screen, through music, or in person,” Janine’s post reads.
”We are deeply grateful for the outpouring of love and support. Please keep our family in your prayers, especially Mama, Uncle Ian, Ate Matet, Kuya Kiko, and Ken, as we say goodbye.”

Janine's mom, Lotlot De Leon, announced that the wake for Nora Aunor will be held at The Chapels at Heritage Park. The wake will be private for family and friends on April 17, 18, and 21, while public viewing will be allowed on April 19 and 20. A mass will be held every evening during the wake. Nora Aunor will be laid to rest at the Libingan ng mga Bayani on April 22, with State Funeral details to follow.
