Celebrities show support for Nikki Gil after her post about Maddie's diagnosis

The entertainment industry is showing its love and support for former actress and singer Nikki Gil after she shared a deeply personal post about her daughter Maddie's recent health scare.

On Monday, April 14, Nikki revealed on Instagram that her daughter had recently been diagnosed with Kawasaki disease, a rare condition that came as a shock and worry to their family afterward.

In a post accompanied by hospital photos, Nikki opened up about the emotional toll the ordeal had taken on her and her husband, BJ Albert, saying it was the "hardest thing" they have experienced.

"Maddie was diagnosed with Kawasaki Disease — something we had never even heard of. And seeing our little girl in pain, hooked to IVs, enduring tests and meds, was the hardest thing we’ve ever gone through as parents," Nikki wrote.

The post quickly went viral, and messages of love and support came flooding in — especially from fellow celebrities and friends in the industry who were touched by the family's experience.

Among the first to react was Parokya ni Edgar frontman Chito Miranda, who empathized with the fear and stress that comes with seeing a child hospitalized since he's a father himself too.

"Thank you, Lord! Jusko, nakaka-stress talaga pag anak may sakit at nao-ospital. So happy nakauwi na kayo," Chito commented to which Nikki replied with heartfelt honesty, "Grabe, diba. Sana tayo na lang at hindi na sila."

One of their close friends Jessy Mendiola also left a warm message, praising the mother-daughter duo's strength: "Such brave girls, both you and little Maddie. I'm glad you guys are now home."

Meanwhile, beauty and wellness entrepreneur Cristalle Belo, daughter of Dr. Vicki Belo, offered comforting words to Nikki, acknowledging the difficulty of the situation they were just in.

"Never easy, mama, but I'm sure you did a great job, and glad to hear she is much better," Cristalle said in the comments too which Nikki responded, "I'm still recovering. Thank you, mama!"

Valeen Montenegro also reacted with a short message for Nikki's daughter, "Get well soonest."
