Actress and social media personality Ivana Alawi has recently opened up about her dating preferences, revealing a preference for partners outside of the entertainment industry.

In an interview featured on Kapuso Showbiz News, Ivana shared that while she is currently dating, she is not in a committed relationship.

The social media influencer expressed that if she were to enter a relationship, she would prefer a partner who is not part of the showbiz world.

Her reasoning stemmed from the perceived challenges of dating someone in the same industry, particularly the potential for on-screen intimacy with other actors.

“Hindi ko talaga yung taga-showbiz kasi nga nakikipaglaplapan sa iba. Hindi ko kaya 'yon. Pero ako puwede 'di ba?” Ivana jokingly stated.

When faced with the hypothetical scenario of choosing between her career and a romantic partner, the socmed influencer asserted that her career would take precedence.

“Iiwan ko muna siya. Una yung showbiz bago siya. Trabaho muna,” she declared, emphasizing her aversion to restrictive relationships.

“Ayaw kong maglagay sa akin ng restriction na bawal 'to, bawal 'to, bakit kasal na ba ako? So hindi matagal pa 'yon,” the social media influencer added.

Ivana also indicated that her preference for non-showbiz partners is rooted in a perceived lack of compatibility with those in the industry.

She further revealed that she has experienced situations where she felt she was being treated as a “sugar mama” by her showbiz dates.

As for her ideal partner, she described him as someone who is “not arrogant, has a heart, and also wants to help others.”
