Vhong Navarro sa issue na binabato sa spiels niya sa 'It's Showtime:' "Ako po ay nagtatrabaho lang"

Vhong Navarro addressed the controversy surrounding his spiels on ‘It’s Showtime.’

In the March 12 episode of the noon-time show, Navarro used the word “DASURV,” which means “deserve” in a more formal context.

Netizens speculated and attached malice to his lines, claiming they were referring to the recent arrest of former president Rodrigo Duterte.

It can be recalled that Navarro’s co-host, Kim Chiu, also faced backlash when netizens similarly interpreted her spiels as an indirect attack on the former president.

In a Facebook post, Navarro shared an image of his spiels:

"WHAT'S UP, WHAT'S UP, MADLANG PEOPLE! PARANG MAY IBA SA NGITI N'YO NGAYON! PARANG NGITING MAY INSPIRASYON! 'YUNG NGITING MAY DAHILAN KA PARA BUMANGON! GANYAN NGA, GANYAN NGA! SA KABILA NG GULO AT INGAY, SANA MAHANAP NINYO ANG INYONG DAHILAN NG PAGHINGA... AT ANG INYONG PAHINGA! I SAY-DASURV!!!"

Alongside the photo, he cleared the issue by writing: "Ako po ay nagtatrabaho lang at binasa ko lang ang spiels ko. Wala po akong masamang intensyon. Love and peace!"

In a previous report in KAMI, Vhong Navarro's co-host, Kim Chiu also cleared the issue about his "DESERVE" statement in 'It's Showtime.' The 'Chinita Princess' said that the word was just part of her spiel, she even posted the entire video of her spiel during that episode of the noontime show. On X, she stepped in to correct a certain social media user that accused her of throwing shades on the recent arrest of former president Rodrigo Duterte. She reposted the malicious content and expressed her dismay over it while at the same time expressing her thoughts about the recent events in the country.

Vhong Navarro’s wife, Tanya Bautista, has recently turned a year older. The ‘It’s Showtime’ host then took to social media to greet his better half. In his message, Vhong thanked Tanya for caring, loving, and understanding him. The actor-host likewise reiterated his love for his dear spouse.
