Mark Herras has finally spoken up on the rumor romantically linking him to singer Jojo Mendrez.

He addressed the issue in MJ Marfori’s interview with him during the story conference for the upcoming horror film “Tag-Ulan” on Monday, February 24.

The actor belied the rumor and explained why he has a lot of respect for the members of the LGBTQ community.

“Baka nakakalimutan kasi nila na I was raised by gay parents,” the 'StartStruck' Season 1 Ultimate Male Survivor aired.

“Kumbaga, kung sa kanila parang malaswa, sa akin, hindi siya masamang tingnan kasi pinalaki ako ng mga gay parents. So, magaling at malaki ang respeto ko sa mga LGBTQ,” he further clarified.

Earlier, Mark created a huge buzz for surprising Jojo with a bouquet of flowers during a media event.

The said media event was the launching of the latter's new song, 'Nandito lang ako.'

In a video, the singer was performing his new song when suddenly, Mark came to the spotlight and handed him over a bouquet of flowers.

Jojo Mendrez is a Filipino singer and songwriter known for reviving classic songs. Dubbed the "Revival King," he has released renditions of popular tracks like "Somewhere in My Past." Beyond music, Jojo is also a businessman and composer.

Mark Herras, on the other hand, is a popular actor in the Philippines. He gained prominence after winning in StarStruck. He is known not only for his acting skills but also for his dancing. Mark is married to actress and beauty queen, Nicole Donesa. They tied the knot on September 8, 2021, in a civil wedding ceremony officiated by Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte.

In a previous report by KAMI, Jojo Mendrez denied the speculations about his meeting with Mark Herras at Okada. He explained that their encounter was purely coincidental and that there was no malice in the video clip that circulated. He stated that their only intention was to record Mark’s reaction on video, but it did not push through due to the judgment of netizens. Their management ultimately decided not to release the video to avoid further controversy.

In another viral news prior to this about Mark, Mark Herras has finally talked about his viral performance at a male entertainment bar. Earlier this year, Mark was spotted performing in a gay bar somewhere in Parañaque City. In 'Toni Talks' on YouTube, Mark simply said that it was just another job for him to do. He also reiterated that he will always find a way to provide for his wife and their kids.
