A 24-year-old man was arrested after he physically assaulted his mother for reprimanding him over his drinking habits.

According to a report from Frontline Pilipinas, the suspect had left his five-month-old baby behind to go on a drinking spree with friends, while his wife was at work.

Upon learning of his irresponsible actions, his mother confronted him about his behavior.

However, instead of acknowledging his mistake, the suspect retaliated and punched her.

This incident is reportedly not the first time he has laid hands on his mother.

Authorities were immediately alerted, and the suspect was taken into custody by the Philippine National Police (PNP).

His mother, determined to put an end to his violent tendencies, has expressed her intent to file charges against him.

The suspect allegedly punched his mother thrice in relation to the latest abusive incident.

With legal action now underway, authorities will determine the appropriate consequences for the suspect’s actions.
