Korina Sanchez is one of the celebrities who took to social media to post about the untimely passing of Chef Margarita Forés.

On her Instagram page, the veteran broadcaster shared a photo of the late culinary icon sporting a beautiful smile.

In the caption, Korina penned a heartfelt tribute where she expressed nothing but praise for the award-winning Filipina chef.

“Way on top of that heap. Irreplaceable. What a fine human being. Words are not enough,” she wrote.

The famed chef passed away at the age of 65, as confirmed by her son, Amado. In his post, Amado confirmed the demise of his mom, saying their family is mourning the 'unexpected loss' of Margarita. No cause of death was mentioned in Amado's post, however, he did mention that it was sudden.

Chef Margarita, who was the granddaughter of the late tycoon, J. Amado Araneta, was a well-known figure in the Philippine culinary scene.

She was also known as the woman behind the Italian restaurant, Cibo, which opened in 1997. As per to reports, the Italian restaurant has over 20 branches all over the Philippines.

After the success of her restaurant, Margarita also launched other dining favorites including, Lusso, Grace Park, Alta, and The Loggia.

Margarita solidified her career and legacy after being named Asia's Best Female Chef as part of The World's 50 Best Restaurants in 2016.

Korina Maria Sanchez-Roxas, better known as Korina Sanchez, is a Filipino television news anchor, magazine show host, newspaper columnist, broadcast journalist, and senior field correspondent. She became known as a feisty and a no-holds-barred journalist. Korina tied the knot with the influential Araneta scion and politician Mar Roxas on October 27, 2009 in Quezon City. The couple have twin children named Pepe and Pilar.

Korina Sanchez recently wowed netizens on social media. On Instagram, Korina revealed her kids had accompanied her in a barangay. In the photos and videos, Pepe and Pilar could be seen helping their mother. Apparently, they accompanied her to a charity event which earned praise. In her online post, Korina said charity begins at home. She then talked about their day briefly in her now-viral post on social media.
