Judy Ann Santos is among those grieving over the passing of Filipina culinary legend Margarita Forés.

On Tuesday, February 11, Juday took to Instagram Stories to react to the sudden death of the renowned chef and restaurateur.

The actress shared a photo of the late culinary icon and wrote a heartfelt tribute in the on-screen caption.

In her short message, Judy Ann expressed that Chef Margarita will always be remembered. Juday also underscored what Heaven gained following the award-winning chef’s passing.

“You will never be forgotten chef. Heaven gained a talented and inspiring angel.”

Chef Margarita passed away at the age of 65, as confirmed by her son. In his post, Amado confirmed the demise of his mother, saying their family is mourning the 'unexpected loss' of Margarita as well.

No cause of death was mentioned in Amado's post, however, he did mention that it was sudden.

Chef Margarita, who was the granddaughter of the late tycoon, J. Amado Araneta, was a well-known figure in the Philippine culinary scene. She was also known as the woman behind the Italian restaurant, Cibo, which opened in 1997. As per to reports, the Italian restaurant has over 20 branches all over the Philippines.

After the success of her restaurant, Margarita also launched other dining favorites including, Lusso, Grace Park, Alta, and The Loggia.

Margarita solidified her career and legacy after being named Asia's Best Female Chef as part of The World's 50 Best Restaurants in 2016.

Judy Ann Santos is a Filipino actress, TV personality, and restaurateur. She began her entertainment career as a child actress. She had her professional television debut in Kaming Mga Ulila before making her cinema debut in Silang Mga Sisiw Sa Lansangan, where she played a supporting role as part of the cast. Her performance in Mara Clara brought her to stardom along with her friend and fellow actress Gladys Reyes.

Last January, Judy Ann Santos has graduated from culinary school with double gold honors. The actress marched with Batch 43 of the Center for Asian Culinary Studies on Jan. 13, 2025. She received Double Gold honors, particularly for Culinary Arts and another for Pastry Arts. According Chef Gino Gonzalez, Juday "finished her courses with a way above average performance."

Meanwhile, Judy Ann Santos was visibly thrilled when famous International Chef Gordon Ramsay praised her version of halo-halo. The famous chef, known for his no-nonsense and no-holds-barred commentaries on food preparations by other chefs in “Hell’s Kitchen,” was recently in the Philippines. One of the activities that the multi-Michelin-starred Chef Gordon had upon arriving in the Philippines was to sample food prepared by chefs, which include Juday.
