"Kailangan po 'yun and pangalagaan pati nung management or corporate and the legal side of ABS-CBN," said Atty. Bondoc. "And I think ang pinakamaganda diyan ay harapin po nung network, na ginagawa naman nila, noh? Harapin sa tamang forum. Ang problems kasi sa atin, sa pulitika in general, may issue na i-aakyat, pero hindi nareresolba."
"So kung ma-resolve sana 'yun. Makita na kung saan inosente and ABS sa mga pinaratang sa kanila. Kung saan sila baka sakali lang, guilty, para matapos na. And then we can move on to the franchise issue."
"Ang gusto ko lang malaman ng mga tao, 'na nung nagsalita ako ng ganun, that comes from a place of truth, hindi hatred. And right now I'm glad to hear na ang dami nang naka-rebound na mga workers from ABS-CBN," he concluded.
Jimmy Bondoc is running as a senatorial candidate under the 'PDP–Laban' party in the 2025 Philippine elections. Initially, he considered running as a party-list representative but ultimately decided to pursue a Senate seat.

It can be recalled that ABS-CBN, one of the biggest TV networks in the Philippines, lost its franchise in 2020 after the government did not renew it. The network had to stop broadcasting on free TV, affecting thousands of employees and viewers nationwide. Some government officials said ABS-CBN had legal and tax issues, while the company denied any wrongdoing.
Many people believed the shutdown was politically motivated because the network had past conflicts with the government. Even without a franchise, ABS-CBN continues to operate online and through partnerships with other channels.
Jimmy Bondoc is a Filipino singer and songwriter known for his hit song "Let Me Be the One." He became popular in the early 2000s for his heartfelt ballads and acoustic music. Aside from singing, he also performed in bars and concerts, sharing his passion for music with his fans. Later on, he joined the government and took a break from the entertainment industry. Despite this, many still remember him for his emotional songs and meaningful lyrics.
