In a Chika Minute report by Iya Villania on 24 Oras on January 23, Alden revealed that his granddad passed away two weeks ago.

He explained that the unfortunate news was the reason he went on a social media hiatus.

Meanwhile, the prominent actor revealed his realization after his grandfather’s passing.

As per the “Hello, Love, Again” star, losing his lolo made him realize that family is the most important thing above all else.

He is recognized as Asia's Multimedia Star because of his work as a TV host, music artist, endorser, and award-winning actor. Alden is known for being courteous, generous, and kind-hearted, in addition to his talent and successful showbiz career.

The box office hit "Hello, Love, Again" has reached more than P1.4 billion worldwide. This number was provided by GMA News, and it was garnered from the figures in the global box office. Its prequel, "Hello, Love, Goodbye," was the first Filipino film that earned more than P1 billion gross. Aside from the worldwide achievement, it also broke records in Middle East.
