Jessy Mendiola, in an interview with the press, recalled the time she and Luis Manzano had an emotional moment together.
Earlier, on Saturday, January 18, Jessy attended the branch opening of a jewelry shop in Evia Lifestyle Center in Las Piñas.

There, Jessy opened up about the highs of her happy holiday season last year with her family in an interview with ABS-CBN.
"Magkakasama kaming lahat so happy naman. Ngayon back to work na talaga. Medyo busy din talaga si Luis ngayon," she said.

While being interviewed by the press, Jessy shared how busy she and Luis have been after he officially filed his COC in 2024.
"Si Luis, day and night talagang he was working so hard to help his kababayans in Batangas."
At one point, she recalled her emotional moment with Luis prior to his filing of a COC in 2024.
"Before talaga siya nag-file ng candidacy, nagkaiyakan pa talaga kami," Jessy said before adding, "Sabi ko, 'Sure ka na ba talaga na gusto mo?' And ako rin, I was a bit hesitant kasi I knew na ibang mundo ito eh. Kahit mga artista kami, syempre it’s a different level of responsibility and ibang level na rin ito sa ating buhay."
Previously, Vilma Santos and her two sons filed their COC for Batangas posts in Eleksyon 2025, as reported by GMA News in 2024.
Following Luis' filing of COC, Jessy shared that, as reported by Inquirer, it wasn't part of their plan.
