Jake Ejercito proudly flexed on social media recently his marathon photos taken at Iloilo City.
It can be recalled that jake went to Iloilo to take part in the IloIlo Marathon 2025, which is the official marathon event of the Dinagyang Festival, an annual celebration at the “City of Love.”
Jake said that after a wrong turn, he was able to finish the 22.7 kilometer-stretch in 2 hours.
The actor said that he was actually aiming for an hour and fifty minutes but he took a wrong turn because of “an unclear and unmanned sign.”

This caused him to double back and added another 1.5 kilometers to his total run.
“Half mara no.2. Was gunning for a sub-1:50 and was on track for the most part, but took a wrong u-turn due to an unclear and unmanned sign, which caused me to have to double back, adding another 1.5km to my total ☠️,” Jake wrote in his post.
He said the glitch caused him to lose momentum but was still able to finish the course in two hours.
“Having lost all momentum, I had to scale it back and aim to just make it to the finish line. Still PR’d at 1:51:39. Official time 2:00:32 (22.7km),” the actor said.
He then thanked all of those who helped him while he was in the “City of Love.”
“Salamat gid to all the Langgas who hyped me up 🫶,” Jake said.
Earlier, Jake shared several humorous posts with equally funny captions all referring to his “Langga,” an Ilonggo endearment for a loved one.
Jake Ejercito is a Filipino actor who has starred in several shows and movies such as Marry Me, Marry You, Mansyon, and Coming Home. He was born on March 27, 1990, to actress Laarni Enriquez and actor-turned-politician former President Joseph “Erap” Ejercito Estrada. He is also known for being the father of Ellie, his daughter with Andi Eigenmann.
In a recent post on social media, Jake humorously said he got tired of waiting for “Langga.” The actor said it’s good that he had a delicious breakfast the following morning. It can be recalled that the photo shared by the actor seemingly waiting for someone went viral. The caption on the said pic, which was written in fluent Ilonggo, amused the netizens, prompting many of them to reply also in local dialects.
An earlier post also showed Jake standing on what looked like a bridge in Iloilo City amused many netizens. This post went viral. In his caption, Jake wrote in complete Ilonggo dialect, using an endearment for a loved one in the said language. The caption, which gave a hint of humor, addressed someone as “Langga” by way of an endearment, saying he has been to many places waiting for said loved one. Thousands of netizens flocked to Jake’s post, with many of them supplying a reply to his caption.
