- The actress then honestly reacted to the result and expressed validation toward every participant’s feelings

- The “Lavender Fields” star also highlighted the importance of boundary-setting

Jodi Sta. Maria took to X, formerly Twitter, to create a meaningful and worthwhile poll about setting boundaries.

She asked the netizens which is the hardest boundary to set, with the choices of saying no to family, taking time for yourself, ignoring work after hours or digital detox.

More than 50% of the participants voted for “saying no to family,” prompting the actress to post an honest reaction.

“Thank you for your replies. Totoo noh? I struggled with that too, and sometimes until now, yung saying NO not only sa family ko but even sa workplace. Kasi I felt guilty..feeling ko I am letting people down.”

“But boundary-setting is a skill. Makakasanayan din in time,” she continued.

Jodi also expressed validation towards every participant’s feelings and further left her insightful sentiments about boundary-setting.

“Good morning everyone! Salamat for participating sa poll natin yesterday and I just want to say na valid ang lahat mga feelings ninyo. Setting boundaries is an act of self-care and self-love. It is also sending a message of how you want to be treated by those around you, it is necessary for your well-being and this is all grounded on mutual respect.”

Jodi Sta. Maria recently sent her dog Z to the veterinarian to be neutered. She shared a video of Z clinging tightly to her, showing how afraid he was. The actress also said that she did not actually wanted to go but she had to because she could not be in the operating room. Thankfully, the operation was successful and her fur baby handled everything really well.
