Vice Ganda recently shared on the social media platform ‘X’ a touching post for the director of her new movie, “And The Breadwinner Is.”

It can be recalled that the movie, which is among the top ten entries of the Metro Manila Film Festival 2024, is a runaway hit in terms of box office sales.
As of January 3, 2025, “And The Breadwinner Is” gross sales has reached Php 270 million, followed by Vic Sotto’s “The Kingdom” with gross sales of around Php 100 million, as reported by Inquirer’s Bandera.
In her message, Vice thanked Jun Robles Lana, the director of “And The Breadwinner Is,” for making her comeback to the big screen “a significant one.”

“I dnt know how to thank you enough. You made my comeback a significant one,” Vice wrote in her post on the social media platform ‘X’.
She also expressed her gratitude to the director for helping her realize her long overdue dream of creating such movie, adding that “And The Breadwinner Is” would always be “very special and personal” to her.
The TV host-comedienne and actress then expressed gratitude to the Almighty for making her and Direk Jun Lana’ paths cross.
“You realized my long over due dream of creating this kind of film. #AndTheBreadwinnerIs will always be very special and personal to me. I thank God at last he made our paths cross. Thank you very much!” Vice Ganda said in her ‘X’ post.
Vice Ganda is a famous comedian, actor, endorser, and host in the Philippines. She is best known for hosting “It’s Showtime” and for her commercially successful movies in the MMFF. The superstar is currently in a relationship with Ion Perez. They got their Certificate of Commitment in a special ceremony in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Oct. 19, 2021.
It can be recalled that Vice Ganda’s film “And The Breadwinner Is…” is among the much-talked-about MMFF 2024 entries. Meme Vice then took to social media to reflect on the success of her movies over the years. The comedian tackled the connection between her and the masses. The Unkabogable Phenomenal Superstar also expressed her love and gratitude to them.
Meanwhile, during the Awards Night of the Metro Manila Film Festival, Vice was surprised to receive the "Jury Citation Award" from MMFF. The comedian clearly did not know what the award was and had no qualms to ask what it was about. She said that she really does not know what it was for, which led the presenters to read the description of the award.
