The Court of Appeals upheld the Marikina Regional Trial Court Branch 273's decision regarding the trademark dispute between TAPE Inc. and TVJ.
It was previously ruled that TVJ won the case and was granted full rights to the 'Eat Bulaga!' trademark.
As a result, TAPE Inc. is no longer allowed to use 'Eat Bulaga!' or 'EB' as a trademark.
Reports state that there were no issues with the decision made by the Marikina RTC.

In a previous report by KAMI, it can be recalled that GMA released its official statement over the win of TVJ in the copyright and infringement case. The statement, posted on the official IG page of the network, wished to give the public some clarity over the decision of the Regional Trial Court (RTC). It said that the court did not find GMA guilty of copyright infringement or unfair competition. It also underscored that it would be complying with the directive of the Court with regard to airing "Eat Bulaga" episodes on its platforms.
Also, just recently about this news, Vic Sotto, a veteran actor and TV host, was interviewed by Toni Gonzaga. During the interview, Vic opened up about TVJ's issue with TAPE Incorporated. According to Vic, TVJ does not have an issue with GMA-7, only with TAPE. He then recalled how they were summoned to a general meeting about TVJ.
