Rico Blanco took to social media and shared that his beloved pet dog named Sylvian has passed away.

In his heartbreaking post, Rico shared a carousel of photos showing Sylvian. Some of the snaps display Rico’s precious moments with the furbaby.

Along with the pictures, the OPM icon penned an emotional caption dedicated to the dog.

“Run free now, dearest Sylvian. My baby, my buddy, my joy,” Rico’s message for Sylvian reads.

Furthermore, the singer-songwriter expressed his gratitude and love for the dog.

“Thank you. I love you so much sylvie boy.”

Rico Blanco is a Pinoy singer, songwriter, actor, record producer, endorser, and entrepreneur. He rose to fame as one of the founding members, and served as the main songwriter, vocalist, guitarist, and keyboardist of the Filipino rock band Rivermaya from 1994 until 2007, and has been a solo artist since 2008. Rico’s songs and performances gained success and critical acclaim, earning himself a reputation of being one of the well-received local music icons in the Philippines.

Rico has been receiving tons of supportive messages on his Instagram. This came following the posts of Jam Villanueva, the ex-girlfriend of Anthony Jennings, which involved an alleged cheating incident concerning Maris Racal. In the comments, many were saying that Rico was marked safe, and there were those who keep on telling him that they love him. Rico has been keeping mum on the issue and has not uttered any word about his ex-girlfriend.

Rico’s recent concert was filled with cheering crowd as throngs of people trooped to the event. The OPM legend and founding member of Rivermaya reposted several short clips of the event, which were earlier shared by fans. In one of the videos, Rico can be seen dancing energetically while singing. The other video clips showed a vantage point from the where one can hear them enthusiastically dancing and singing with the OPM legend.
