PNP, ipinakita sa video epekto sa isang dummy na ginamitan ng paputok na “Kingkong”

- Then a man placed the said “Kingkong” between the fingers of the dummy

The Philippine National Police (PNP) recently demonstrated the effects of using in the wrong manner the firecracker called “Kingkong.”

In a GMA News report, one can see a dummy placed on an open area inside Camp Vicente Lim in Laguna.
The dummy’s arms were in outstretched position, and with its hands open.
One can see in the video a man, presumably a police officer albeit in civilian clothing, placing the said “Kingkong” firecracker between the fingers of the dummy.

He then lighted the said firecracker and ran away to a safe distance and waited.
The firecracker exploded with a loud bang, with a lot of smoke billowing around the dummy.
When the smoke cleared, one can see the fingers of the dummy broken in several places and his other arm now folded inward.
In a subsequent interview, Police Brigadier General (PBGen) Paul Kenneth T Lucas, explained that the dummy is made of hard plastic, yet its had that held the “Kingkong” was severely damaged.
Gen. Lucas said that if such firecracker can do maximum damage to the hard plastic construction of the dummy, it can also inflict extreme harm to a human hand.

In other news, a female suspect took an ang pao from a female churchgoer in Tondo. According to the report of Philstar, the red envelope contained P1,200. The victim was a 26-year-old female who heard mass at the Sto. Niño Church. Fortunately, police was able to recover the stolen cash from the suspect, Princess Nicole Lacap Santos.
Meanwhile, a chaplain of the Philippine Coast Guard was robbed of P200,000 and a watch. Based on the report of GMA Integrated News, the chaplain parked at a roadside in Roxas Boulevard on Dec. 25. The suspect took the victim's Huawei Smartwatch and P200,000 cash, along with other valuables. Police later arrested the suspect on the night of Dec. 25 but the only amount recovered was P5,100.
