Vic Sotto, a veteran actor and TV host, opened up about Eat Bulaga's previous issue with TAPE Incorporated, which went viral online.
During his most recent interview with Toni Gonzaga, the actress-host told Vic that people initially thought TVJ had an issue with GMA-7.
"From the outside, looking in, ang iisipin ng tao eh it's because of the transfer from GMA to TV5. Pero sanay na nga kasi ang Bulaga from Channel 9, to 2, to 7, to 5," Toni began in the interview.
According to Vic, they were happy with GMA, saying they're still friends and have no issue.

"We were happy with GMA, until now eh wala naman kaming masamang tinapay with GMA people. We're still friends. Ang naging problema lang namin is with TAPE. I mean, just imagine, 44 years of doing it, making money for them and reaching them tas all of a sudden, dahil nagkaka-edad na raw kami eh aalisin na kami. Eh Eat Bulaga yan eh, kami yun eh. Si Joey nag-imbento nung title eh. Tapos we really worked hard for it," Vic told Toni during their interview.
Vic also recalled how their boss called for a general meeting and announced something to them.
"We're like one big family there, tapos bigla-bigla na lang, 'The boss will call for a general meeting, announcing that Tito, Vic, and Joey, thank you, nice working with you.' Huh? Ang sakit. Ang sakit nun," the veteran TV host told Toni, admitting the fact that it hurt them.
