Yasmien Kurdi revealed on Monday, December 16, that she is set to meet with Department of Education (DepEd) Secretary Sonny Angara.
In a statement she released on Instagram Stories, Yasmien said she will be meeting with the Education secretary on Thursday, December 19.
The celebrity mom revealed that they will tackle the bullying incidents happening in schools.
"This Thursday, I'll be meeting with the Secretary of the Department of Education Sonny Angara to discuss potential solutions and strategies we can implement to address bullying in our schools."

"Your stories will guide this important conversation, and I promise to use my platform to advocate for meaningful change," Yasmien told the parents who recently reached out to her to share their stories about their children facing bullying.
"Together, we can shine a light on this issue and empower our kids to stand strong. Let's fight bullying and protect our children!" she courageously added.
Yasmien Kurdi is a Filipina actress, singer-songwriter, and commercial model. She rose to popularity after joining and being the first runner-up on the first season of Starstruck, a reality-based talent search show by GMA Network. She graduated with Latin honors in AB Political Science from Arellano University. She is married to a pilot, and they now have two daughters, Ayesha and Raya Layla.
In a previous post, the Kapuso star said her daughter was allegedly "targeted" by her classmates "because she was unable to keep up with group messages" regarding their Christmas party. GMA News then took to Instagram to share the heartbreaking news. Pokwang, in the comments section of GMA News' post, penned her fiery reaction to the alleged bullying incident.
Yasmien Kurdi shared another distressing post after Ayesha was subjected to alleged school bullying. On Instagram Stories, Yasmien shared what she found on Ayesha's desk. The celebrity mom also emotionally expressed, "Nadurog ang puso ko."
