Sofronio Vasquez, The Voice USA grand champion, will receive $100,000 as cash prize and a recording contract with the Universal Music Group.
This was after he was declared The Voice USA 26th season winner, making him the first Asian to have ever won the prestigious reality singing competition.
In a report by Inquirer News, the Philippine peso equivalent of the $100,000 that Sofronio won amounts to around 5.8 million.
He was chosen from among four other finalists, who also underwent rigorous training sessions with their respective coaches.

The song that Sofronio sang during the finals was the song “A Millon Dreams, which was from the movie “The Greatest Showman.”
In his first post on Instagram Stories, Sofronio thanked everyone for their support and then expressed a touching realization that gives hope to everyone.
“Dreams really do come true,” Sofronio said in a video he posted on IG Stories.
Sofronio Vasquez is a Filipino singer who became famous after being declared the champion of The Voice Season 26 in America. Prior to this, he participated in local singing competitions in the Philippines such as Tawag ng Tanghalan and The Voice Philippines.
Sofronio’s win at the Season 26 of The Voice is also the first win of Michael Bublé as a coach of the singing contest. Sofronio bested four other finalists from Team Bublé, Team Reba, Team Snoop, and Team Gwen. He grew up in the Philippines but transferred to the United States in the year 2022 to try to bring realization to his dream in music. In a statement, Sofronio gave tribute to his late father, whom he said taught him to love music.
Before winning The Voice Season 26, Sofronio granted an interview with Showtime Online U. It was during this interview that Sofronio shared just how great it is for him to be part of “Tawag Ng Tanghalan” because as he said, it was during this time that he really trained hard. He also admitted that it was very competitive in Tawag Ng Tanghalan. He also left an advice for aspiring singers, saying they should continue to dream despite big challenges.
