Dionne Monsanto, a former actress, was recently reunited with her mother, Dulcita Siroy, whom she finally visited after a couple of years.
On her Instagram page, @dionne, the former actress uploaded photos and videos of their heartfelt reunion which touched netizens' hearts.

According to Dionne, her surprise visit to her mother was "months in the making," and she shared how long it had been since she went home.
"This surprise was months in the making. I haven’t spent and celebrated my birthday and Christmas with my mom for many years since she lives in Cebu, and I was based in Manila for work for almost 15 years. I always had a working birthday as I always had a schedule to shoot a film or tape a TV series on my birthday. And since I moved to Switzerland to settle down, the distance just made it even more challenging to visit her as often as I used to and would like to. But she was, and still is, always so understanding," Dionne explained to her fans and followers online.

Dionne also mentioned how grateful she is to have the opportunity to come home this year.
"I went through a personal struggle middle of this year, and I really just felt the need to see and be with her. My mom gives the best hugs. So grateful to have the opportunity to come home and stay for this long," Dionne wrote in her now-viral post on the photo-sharing app, Instagram.
