Andrea Brillantes, a Filipina actress, recently penned a heartwarming note about her entry for the 'Piliin Mo Ang Pilipinas' challenge this year.

On Instagram, Andrea thanked the people for the love that her entry has been receiving lately, she also thanked the team behind her viral video.

Apparently, the idea for her entry had been on the actress's mind since the end of May, but that her schedule was too hectic for her to do it online.

"This idea had been on my mind since the end of May, but at that time, my schedule was too hectic, and the trend was already fading. Medyo alanganin na kung itutuloy ko pa. I could have pushed through, but I would’ve had to simplify my vision for this challenge. I didn’t want to compromise because I wanted to give my best effort to represent every Filipino and truly capture what it means to be one," she had written.

Halfway through her post, Andrea revealed she is dedicating her entry to the heroes that is the Filipino people, touching everyone's hearts.

"I dedicate this sa ating mga Bayani who fought for our freedom, to our families who serve as the heart of our culture, to our modern-day heroes, our Indigenous communities, our global icons, and national pride, and every hardworking Filipino out there. In the end, I decided to go for it before the year ended because this wasn’t just about following a “trend.” I did it to show my love for Filipinos and how proud I am to be Pinoy!" she wrote.
