Mariel Padilla was a guest in "Fast Talk With Boy Abunda."
The wife of Sen. Robin Padilla answered a number of questions, and one particular topic she addressed was whether men and women would ever be equal.
"Yung respect sa isa't-isa should be pantay," Mariel said.
"However, I still believe, call me old-fashioned, but the girl should still be subm*ssive to the husband. I really really believe in that," she added.

"I also believe na babae ang nagdadala ng marriage. Babae ang nagdadala ng relationship. So I feel it can never be pantay, Tito Boy," she further explained.
Tito Boy then asked her to further elaborate on her statement about women as being the one carrying the relationship.
