Arnel Pineda is a Pinoy singer and songwriter, best known as the frontman of the world-famous rock band, Journey. He rose to prominence in the Philippine music circle in the 80s, with his fame skyrocketing after Journey made him their frontman. He has been with the American rock band since 2007 and has been performing with them in various US and international tours.

In a statement that Arnel issued on social media, he offered to leave the rock band “Journey” after video of his performance in “Rock in Rio” in Brazil surfaced online. It can be recalled that the page “Behind the Songs” posted a video of Arnel where he struggled with the high notes of the song “Don’t Stop Believing.” The singer, subsequently, issued a statement addressing the said video and acknowledged he wasn’t able to perform well during that particular event. He then made an offer to everyone for them to vote so he can make the proper decision.

Meanwhile, in a 2022 interview with Ogie Diaz, Arnel opened up about his partner, Cherry, who never gave up on him. In the video, Arnel recalled how he once felt embarrassed towards Cherry due to his vices. According to Arnel, due to his embarrassment, he even asked Cherry to break up with him.
