Doc Willie Ong created a massive buzz due to his shocking revelation about his health condition.
Through his social media pages, the doctor shared with the public that he is currently battling abdominal cancer.
Doc Willie said doctors found a 16 x 13 x 12 centimeter sarcoma in his abdomen, hidden behind his heart and in front of his spine.
In his vlog, the health advocate also said his condition is serious, but he optimistically expressed, "I will fight this battle."

After sharing the sad news, Doc Willie took to his Facebook page to express gratitude to his supporters. He said he can really feel the love and concern from many Filipinos.
"My deepest thanks to the Filipino people. I can FEEL your love and concern even miles away. Thanks for ALL the kind thoughts. I love you all," he wrote.
His now-viral post likewise quoted, "If you can feel that the people around you love you, you want to go on and fight this challenge for them. But if you feel that people hate you, then what is the reason for going on?"
Born on October 24. 1963, Dr. Willie Ong is cardiologist who served as consultant of the Department of Health from 2010 to 2014. He graduated the De La Salle University College of Medicine in 1992, and earned his Master in Public Health degree from the University of the Philippines Manila in 2002. He ran for vice president in the 2022 Elections.
Isko Moreno expressed sadness over Doc Willie Ong's current health condition. According to a report by GMA News' Balitambayan, Isko stated he is hoping for Doc Willie's quick recovery. The former Manila mayor also shared his uplifting message for the doctor.
A day after his announcement, the Doc Willie penned a lengthy and meaningful post about his cancer diagnosis. Although he considers himself fortunate because he receives good medical care, he still feels downhearted that many Filipino patients can never avail of such treatment. The health advocate then vowed to help such people should he recover.
