Derek Ramsay, in one of his latest interviews, finally came forward to share a few details about his relationship with John Lloyd Cruz.

In Morly Alinio's Ito Ang Tondo on his YouTube channel, Derek opened up about Elias Modesto Cruz, Ellen Adarna's handsome son.

"He’s a great kid. So for me, it was just natural for me to fall in love with this boy as part of Ellen," Derek confessed in the viral interview.

The actor then reacted to what his bashers are claiming, saying he is only putting up an "act."

"Pero anong act? Asawa ko yan. Anong acting? Honeymoon namin, kasama namin cause I want Elias to experience Africa with us. Lagi kong hinahanap yan," Derek said.

When asked about his relationship with John Lloyd, Derek clarified, "Wala naman kaming problema. Hindi naman kami best friends."

Morly said while they are not best friends, they are not enemies either, prompting Derek to react.

"Hindi. Si John Lloyd, kasi Elias has school now so Monday to Friday, sa amin siya, then sa weekends, sa Papa niya," Derek said.

Aside from this, Derek also briefly talked about the claims that he is taking John Lloyd's spot.

"No, I would never disrespect him, I know my place. Kumbaga, second best, hanggang dun lang ako," Derek mentioned in the interview.

According to Derek, it was his poster car back when he was younger and that he promised himself to own one someday. With hard work, he has made his dream come true, and now owns the beauty.
