Arnold Clavio recently expressed his hilarious reaction on the word “shiminet.”

The word swiftly became an Internet meme and immediately went trending online.

On learning the origins of the word, ‘Igan’ immediately pointed out the fun nature of Pinoys and also praised their creativity.

“EHEM! Susmalosep !!! Eto pala ang pinagmulan ng ‘SHIMINET’ na yan!” Arnold, who is often referred to as ‘Igan’, said in his post.

“Sakit ng ulo ko kakatanong sa mga nag-forward sa akin ng salitang yan,” he added.
“Trending daw eh. Ang mga pilipino talaga ang taba ng isip at di matatawaran ang pagiging malikhain,” the multi-awarded broadcast journalist said.

In his post, he included the video of VP Sara Duterte replying to the questions of members of the House of Representatives.

Arnold then expressed hopes that he has at last made clear where the now-trending Internet meme came from, adding that his followers who kept on asking him about it should now be satisfied with his explanation.

“Ayan maliwanag na ! Huwag nyo na akong kulitin at matutulog na ako,” the broadcast journalist said.
“‘Shiminet’ pakbet … 😴😴😴,” Arnold concluded.

Recently, Arnold paid tribute to Mike Enriquez on the latter’s death anniversary. It can be recalled that Mike passed away last year at the age of 71. On his Instagram page, Arnold posted a throwback video where Mike was seen introducing Igan as the new ‘Saksi’ anchor. In his lengthy caption, Igan said that up to this day, he still grieves the loss of the late veteran broadcast journalist.

Meanwhile in a previous post, Arnold thanked Carlos Yulo's sports therapist. In his post, Arnold shared a video of him and Hazel Calawod, who is assisting him. In the video, Hazel could be seen giving Arnold some simple tips about his rehabilitation. The Kapuso news anchor then thanked Hazel before cracking a joke in his post.
