Previously, a video of Jose Mari Chan's emotional performance garnered over 1.8 million views.

Since its upload, several netizens have taken to social media to express their worry and concern for the beloved Filipino-Chinese ballad singer.

During the interview, Jose Mari revealed the video was taken at a Christmas tree lighting event.

While at the event, since it still wasn't 'Ber' months, Jose Mari performed different songs that day. However, the crowd requested his iconic song.

"Sabi ko, 'It’s only July!' Buti na lang, I had my minus one, and when I began to sing, the whole audience sang along, so I was deeply touched and moved by the spontaneity of the people, young and old alike," he revealed in the interview.

According to Jose Mari, the crowd sang 'Christmas In Our Hearts' with him, which moved him.

"They were singing 'Christmas in Our Hearts' with me. It was a touching moment," he said before adding, "Napa-teary-eyed ako that afternoon."
