Carlos Yulo’s siblings, in a recent interview by ABS-CBN, expressed pride in the achievement of their elder brother.

“Masaya and siyempre nakaka proud. Naiiyak kasi maririnig natin yung national anthem natin. Maririnig ng buong mundo yung national anthem natin. And nakakakilabot din po talaga,” Karl Eldrew said.
When asked how important was the Olympic win was for his Kuya Caloy, he said that it was the primary goal of his brother, to reach the Olympics and have a medal.
He did say though that he didn’t expect his Kuya Caloy to win the gold.

“Sobrang importante po na manalo po siya kasi parang ayun po yung pinaka-goal niya, na makatuntong sa Olympics at magkaroon siya ng medal pero di ko ini-expect yung gold talaga,” the younger Yulo said.
“Kasi sobrang laki para sa kanya na ma-achieve niya yung goal niya na siya yung pinakamalakas sa buong gymnastics sa floor exercise which is yung favorite niya,” he added.
Like Karl Eldrew, his sister, Elaiza Andriel also expressed pride in what her Kuya Caloy has achieved.
“Ah sobrang nakaka-proud po and nakakakilabot kasi first time narinig ang Philippine National anthem sa Olympic podium po ng gymnastics po. and yung gold po na napanalunan niya po is ano po parang first time in history sa larangan po ng gymnastics. Ayun po. Nakaka-proud po. Sobra po,” Elaiza said.
When asked if they feel any pressure, being gymnasts who compete in various national and international events themselves, after their Kuya Caloy’s gold run, the two answered in the affirmative.
“Ah, sobrang nakaka proud po but at the same time, nakaka pressure po like every competition po hindi pwedeng hindi mawawala yung pressure sa amin ni Kuya Eldrew po. Ayun po,” Elaiza Andriel said.
"Kasi, yung pagkapanalo talaga ni kuya, right after na pagkapanalo, like there are people messaging me na ‘congrats drew, ikaw naman ang susunod’, ‘congrats drew, ikaw naman next’, ‘congrats drew, aabangan kita’, siyempre sobrang nakaka pressure yun. Kasi nagi-expect kaagad sila ng mataas. Ang dami ring 'what ifs' na pumasok sa isipan ko that time, kasi 'what if nagkamali lang ako ng konti, what if hindi ako nakapasok', ano ang aasahan nila? Puro yabang lang. Mga ganun,” Eldrew, for his part, said.
Carlos Yulo is a Filipino artistic gymnast known for his exceptional skills and achievements in gymnastics. He gained international recognition for his performances in various competitions, particularly in the World Artistic Gymnastics Championships. He bagged two gold medals in gymnastics of the Philippines in the 2024 Paris Olympics.
In an interview of Caloy by a sports reporter, he was asked about the incentives he's bound to receive. It can be recalled that aside from plush properties, he stands to receive millions of pesos in cash incentives and bonuses. And because he brought home two Olympic gold medals, the announced incentives earlier could even go higher. In the same interview, Carlos said that he plans to take a brief respite from training to focus on his personal life.

According to the report, Carlos interacted with several fans waiting for him outside the venue of the vault finals of men's artistic gymnastics. After spending time with the supporters, the athlete headed to the other side of the arena to see his girlfriend. The two-time Olympic gold medalist and Chloe then sweetly kissed and hugged each other as they met.
