Carlos Yulo, in an interview with ABS-CBN shared the tough journey that he had before he finally achieved the Olympic gold.
He said that nothing is perfect and the road towards that gold medal was not easy.
The Olympic champ said that he never gave up on his dream and what he got was a blessing from God.
"Wala naman pong perpekto, kung pano ko to nakuha, hindi naging madali rin. Sobrang dami kong obstacles na napagdaanan. Sobrang dami kong paghihirap. Sobrang daming luha, dugo't-pawis ang inalay ko dito. Isa lang to sa mga blessings mula kay God sa pagpupursige ko. Hindi ako sumuko, hindi ako tumigil. Ipinaglaban ko kung ano yung pangarap ko sa buhay. Siguro ganun po. Focus po tayo sa kung ano kaya nating gawin at maging mapasalamat tayo..."
