Nine victims have been rescued by the NBI from a facility in San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan, where an illegal sale of organs is being conducted.

According to the report of GMA News, four out of the nine victims have already been operated on, which means that one of their kidney was has already been taken out and perhaps forwarded or given to a buyer.

There was also money that was recovered, which was supposed to be given to those who already underwent an operation.

The facility looked like a two-storey structure, complete with foams, cushions, where the victims rest after an operation or wait for their turn.

Based on an earlier report, the NBI identified the alleged mastermind of the operations as a nurse working at the National Kidney and Transplant Institute.

Three of the companions of the said nurse, whom NBI named as Allan Ligaya, were already nabbed.

Ligaya remains at large as of this writing.

Recently, the news about a head nurse working at the National Kidney and Transplant Institute, who was allegedly the "leader" of illegal organ trading operations, went viral. The information as reported was revealed by the National Bureau of Investigation. Inquirer reported that the victims were the vulnerable ones, and were offered huge sums in exchange for one of their kidneys. Three persons have already been nabbed by the NBI, but the head nurse is still at large.

In a related news, one of the syndicate's victim, a 20-year-old male who was promised 200K payment for one of his kidneys, received only 2K after the organ was removed and sold to a waiting recipient. The young man was among those rescued by the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) in an operation that uncovered a massive clandestine business of illegal organ trading. According to a report in a video shared by 24Oras, the 20-year-old victim is supposed to use part of the 200K payment for his enrollment in the coming semester. The NBI also claimed in the ensuing news conference, that the alleged ringleader of the said operation was a head nurse with the National Kidney and Transplant Institute (NKTI).
