Geneva Lopez, Yitzhak Cohen, may tig-dalawang tama ng bala, ayon sa NBI

- The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) revealed the results of the autopsy on the bodies of Geneva Lopez and Yitzhak Cohen

- According to the agency, as per the report of GMA News, each of the victims sustained two gunshot wounds

- The beauty queen had a wound at the back of the torso, which exited on her chest, and one on the thigh

- Her boyfriend had a gunshot wound on the chest and one near the armpit

The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) has already released the results of the autopsy on the bodies of beauty queen Geneva Lopez and her Israeli fiancé Yitzhak Cohen.

According to the NBI, as per the report of GMA News, each of the victims were shot twice.

NBI Director Jaime Santiago, in an interview with Super Radyo dzBB, said that Geneva sustained a gunshot wound at the back of her torso and on her thigh.

Her boyfriend sustained a wound on the chest and one near the armpit.

"'Yung babae ay may tama ng bala sa dibdib, sa likod ha, sa likod, lumabas sa dibdib, atsaka sa kanyang paa, sa thigh," Santiago said.

"Ang lalaki naman ay may tama ng bala sa dibdib, harapan ang entrance, tumagos sa likod atsaka sa bandang kili-kili," the NBI director added.

Geneva Lopez is a 27-year-old model and beauty queen who was reported missing on June 21, 2024. She was with her boyfriend, 37-year-old Israeli national, Yitzhak Cohen. The two were last seen in Tarlac. On July 6, police authorities say they have found the decomposing bodies of the couple in a quarry site in a faraway barangay in Capas, Tarlac.

Recently, the governor of Pampanga, Dennis Pineda has confirmed the deaths of the missing beauty queen and her fiancé. The bodies of the missing beauty queen and her Israeli boyfriend were found in a distant quarry in Capas, Tarlac. As per an earlier report by ABS-CBN, authorities were able to locate the initially suspected burial site after a witness came forward. After an investigation of the two corpses found in the site, it was confirmed that indeed they were the Pampanga beauty queen Geneva Lopez and her Israeli fiancé Yitzhak Cohen.

It can be recalled that the PNP, on July 2, said they already have persons of interest involving the case of Geneva and Yitzhak. Earlier, the PNP has formed a Special Investigation Task Group (SITG) to focus on the case. In a previous report, police authorities recovered the burnt vehicle used by the couple and the supposed middleman. They also found personal possessions of the couple inside the vehicle.
