The two went missing on June 21, the day they were supposed to meet with a middleman for a property they’re allegedly planning to buy.
According to previous reports, the person who acted as middleman in the supposed transaction was a former policeman.
After about two weeks of being missing, authorities announced on Saturday, July 6, they have started looking for the two in a quarry site in a faraway barangay in Capas, Tarlac.

Eventually, two decomposing bodies of a man and a woman were found, and were later identified by relatives through their personal possessions as their missing loved ones.
A man, who is said to have witnessed the burying of the two bodies in a grave at the quarry site, was instrumental in their discovery.
Police authorities later on revealed that they already have in custody two persons of interest in the said case.
The two were reportedly former policemen and one of them was the supposed middleman of the real estate transaction.
In a report by ABS-CBN News, the two former policement were nabbed by the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) at around 1 AM Saturday, July 6.
Authorities did not say whether they are already considering the two as suspects.
Geneva Lopez is a 27-year-old model and beauty queen who was reported missing on June 21, 2024. She was with her boyfriend, 37-year-old Israeli national, Yitzhak Cohen. Recently, the governor of Pampanga, Dennis Pineda has confirmed the deaths of the missing beauty queen and her fiancé. The bodies of the missing beauty queen and her Israeli boyfriend were found in a distant quarry in Capas, Tarlac. As per an earlier report by ABS-CBN, authorities were able to locate the initially suspected burial site after a witness came forward. After an investigation of the two corpses found in the site, it was confirmed that indeed they were the Pampanga beauty queen Geneva Lopez and her Israeli fiancé Yitzhak Cohen.
It can be recalled that the PNP, on July 2, said they already have persons of interest involving the case of Geneva and Yitzhak. Earlier, the PNP has formed a Special Investigation Task Group (SITG) to focus on the case. In a previous report, police authorities recovered the burnt vehicle used by the couple and the supposed middleman. They also found personal possessions of the couple inside the vehicle.
