Ogie Diaz, sa “EXpecially For You” issue: “Mahirap magsalita”

Ogie Diaz, in a post on his Facebook account recently, gave his take on the controversial issue surrounding ‘It’s Showtime’ segment, ‘EXpecially For You’.

In the said post, Ogie admitted it’s very hard for him to express his own opinion as people are very sensitive about the topic at this time.

“Mahirap magsalita for now. Sensitive ang mga tao. Lalo na karamihan ng netizen, mga marites din. Kahit magpayo ka lang o mag-suggest, iisipin na, ‘May galit ka po ba sa kanya?’” Ogie wrote in his post.

The showbiz reporter and talent manager also said it’s also difficult for him to stay in the middle as there are also those who wanted to hear his opinion about the matter.

“Kaya doon na lang muna tayo sa gitna. Pero sabi nga ng iba, hindi pwede yon. Mamili ka ka kung sa kanan ka o sa kaliwa ka. Kasi pag nasa gitna ka, masasagasaan ka pa rin,” the showbiz reporter said.

“Pero bakit mo naman sasagasaan kung nakikita mo namang may nakatayo sa gitna?” he also asked.

In the end, Mama Ogs opted to ask his Facebook friends about their opinion on the controversial issue.

“Kayo na lang ang gusto kong pakinggan, mga giliw kong FB friends. Ano ang masasabi n’yo sa nakaraang isyu ng Expecially For You segment ng It’s Showtime?” he asked.

“I know, lilipas din ito at mapapalitan din ito ng panibagong isyu. O ng lumang isyu. Pinakamagandang paliwanag, ii-include ko sa prayers ko ,” Ogie concluded.

Ogie Diaz is one of the most famous showbiz reporters in the Philippines. He is also an accomplished comedian and has appeared in several sitcoms and movies since the 90's. At the moment, his YouTube channel Ogie Diaz Inspires and Ogie Diaz Showbiz Update are the most watched where he actively provides news from the world of showbiz.

Early this week, Ogie explained why he didn’t give a money garland to his daughter when she graduated. It can be recalled it has become a trend this graduation season. The showbiz reporter and talent manager said he is concerned about the mental state of his daughter in case the public would give their reaction to such graduation gift. In the same post, he said he and his partner, Mommy Sowl, were just happy with the completion of their daughter Georgina of her JHS studies.

More recently, Ogie gave his reaction on the statement of his former talent, Liza Soberano, in a magazine. It seemed from the interview of Liza that she wasn’t able to decide for herself in the course of 12 years of her showbiz career in the Philippines. Ogie said he’s not invalidating the sentiments of Liza, though also made some recollections of his own about the matter.
