Heart Evangelista, the wife of Senate President Chiz Escudero, was hailed as the President of the Senate Spouses Foundation Inc.

On Wednesday, June 5, Heart announced the exciting news on her official Instagram page, delighting many of her followers.

According to Heart, she is genuinely honored with her new role, saying she could not help but be grateful for the warm welcome.

"I am so honored to stand before everyone of you today as the new President of the Senate Spouses Foundation Inc. As I stand side by side with these men and women - my fellow spouses and officials who were involved in SSFI long before me, I could not help but be grateful for welcoming and supporting me in this challenging journey ahead. As I have said during our very first meeting, l am ready to honor the challenge of working together to find ways to uplift our people and our communities," she wrote.

By the end of her post, Heart said she is bravely taking on her new duties as the SSFI President.

"With your support, fellow spouses, SSFI support staff, the Senate community and of course of Senate President Chiz, I am bravely taking on these duties. It is inspiring to see what we can accomplish and what kind of changes we can all make together. Maraming salamat po!" she wrote.

Heart Evangelista is a Filipina actress, singer, TV host, endorser, visual media artist, philanthropist, socialite, and the former first lady of Sorsogon province.
