Vice Ganda, nagpatutsada kay Kim sa “Showtime”: “Grabe, pangalan mo Julia, yung searcher Gerald”

Vice Ganda, in a recent episode of the noontime show, “It’s Showtime,” teased her co-host Kim Chiu, who was not around during that time, after the former learned the names of the two participants in the segment “Expecially For You.”

During the said segment, the participants introduced their names as “Julia” and the searcher’s name as “Gerald.”

“What’s up madlang people! I’m Julia, 22, ang fashionistang modelo ng Pasig City,” the female participant said.

It can be recalled that Kim used to be in a relationship more than a decade ago with Gerald Anderson, though the latter is currently in a relationship with actress Julia Barretto.

After introducing themselves, Vice said it was a pity that Kim wasn’t around as she would have experienced a lot of teasing.

“Grabe, pangalan mo Julia tapos yung searcher Gerald,” Vice said after the introduction.

“Sayang, wala yung isang co-host natin dito. Sana pulutan siya ngayon. Sana ni-reschedule niyo ’to kung kelan nandidito yung isa,” she jokingly suggested.

One of her co-hosts, Vhong Navarro, then told Vice that Kim is in a taping session.

“Nag-taping eh,” Vhong said.

Kim Chiu is a Filipina-Chinese actress and television host. She broke through in showbiz after becoming a winner in Pinoy Big Brother. She was born on April 19, 1990, in Cebu City to Chinese businessman William Chiu and Louella Yap. Kim is also known as the “Chinita Princess” and was once hailed as the “Princess of Philippine Movies and TV.”

Recently, many were amused at the reaction of Kim when Vice quipped about people wanting to part ways. During the “Expecially” segment of It’s Showtime, Vice asked a participant if she has a “pasalubong” for her ex, who at the time was still her boyfriend. The guy confirmed that he took the “pasalubong” from his girl before parting ways, which Vice said he shouldn’t have. Vice wasn’t able to complete his statement though when he glanced at Kim.

Meanwhile, netizens also became amused at Kim with her repost on the social media platform ‘X’ about a meme where her photo and that of Pokemon character Pikachu were put side by side. It can be recalled that a meme about Pikachu and Kim Chiu being related had made rounds on social media. This is why in her post, Kim appeared to go along with the joke by asking why her cousin is there. Many people made positive reactions and comments on the said post of Kim.
