Jodi Sta. Maria, in a recent post in her Instagram account, took time to reflect on the Japanese art called “Kintsugi,” or the way of repairing broken things with gold.

In her post, the actress said that the Japanese people believe that there is beauty in brokenness.

“KINTSUGI. Minato City, Japan. The art of repairing something broken with gold. The Japanese believe there is beauty in brokenness,” Jodi wrote in her post.

She also compared a broken ceramic ware to a broken heart that might have been the offshoot of a loss of health, relationship, or choices that one made.

“Like this broken piece of ceramic we all have been broken. We have grieved from a broken heart, loss of health or relationships whether from the choices we made or circumstances beyond our control,” she said.
“We find ourselves profoundly broken that we question ourselves if we’ll ever get fixed,” the actress added.

She then said that the Almighty, just like a “skillful Kintsugi artist” can fix the broken pieces of anyone and put it back together again.

“But God like a skillful Kintsugi artist can mend all our broken pieces back together. He is making something beautiful with us and giving us healing, restoration, and a new story,” she said.

A couple of weeks ago, Jodi took to the social media platform 'X' and shared what she has been going through at home. In particular, she revealed that from the time Lily arrived, she would always be looking for her slippers in the morning. She then laughed about it as indicated by the laughing emoji at the end of her tweet. Jodi now has two pets at home, her pet cat Naia, and Lily, her black dog.

In another previous Instagram post, Jodi expressed sadness over the sudden demise of Deo Endrinal. The big boss of Dreamscape Entertainment passed away on Saturday, February 3, due to multiple organ failure brought about by a lingering ailment. In Jodi’s post, she said the world felt a little less bright without Deo around. The actress then expressed how much she loved the Dreamscape top honcho and prayed for his peaceful rest.
